Subject: Donna C. Wright (nee: Hillier) IAWP member

Dear Jane, I am the sister of one of your members and her name is Donna C. Wright (nee: Hillier) of Hammond, IN USA.

My sister was a very proud member of your organization and served with your group as part of the Security Team for the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney Australia. I believe she also had attended conferences with your group – if my memory serves me it was maybe in England and/or Australia and here in the States.  She retired due to illness after faithfully serving her community and state for 25 years.

For the past five years, Donna has been fighting to hang onto life (as long as she could) with an incurable cancer called Multiple Myeloma.  Donna (only 52) sadly, lost that fight this morning, the 21st, at 11:09 a.m. 9/11.

From the stories she related to me, she had many dear “sisters” in the IAWP, as well as, her four sisters & Mom here at home. (She also had seven brothers – 2 have passed). Her family here would like to communicate to her IAWP sisters of her passing, as she was very close to many members. Family was very important to Donna and especially her police family.  I would very much appreciate you informing your membership. I’m sure she wasn’t one of the more active members but she certainly was one of the most proud members.

I thank you and your organization for being part of her life – she enjoyed it so much.

Very sincerely,

LeiLani (Hillier) Buzinski
